Background

Through 11 design iterations, I refined the user interface, improved conversation flows, and enhanced the visual design to create a more intuitive and emotionally connected user experience.
Approach
we focused on designing an emotional companion product that supports users’ mental well-being through everyday interactions. We started by conducting qualitative research, including interviews and diary studies, to understand users’ emotional needs, daily routines, and expectations for digital companionship.
These insights guided our design principles around empathy, trust, and subtle interaction. We explored multiple interaction modalities—such as voice, light, and haptic feedback—to create a comforting and non-intrusive presence. I was responsible for designing conversational flows, prototyping interaction scenarios, and testing the product with users to ensure it felt emotionally supportive and easy to engage with.
